We have been made aware that, due to updates from our service provider, there has been over a week's delay in some parents receiving our e-mail about arrangements for the start of term. Our annual senior ensemble summer concert (usually the Fringe concert, but a week too early this year to be a fringe event) at St John's Church will take place at 7.30pm on Friday 29 June at St John's Church. This year it will feature all our senior ensembles- Peak District String Orchestra, Peak District WInd Band and Peak District Big Band. If you heard them play at the Gala concert last we
There will be a joint rehearsal for Buxton Beginner Wind Band, Hope Valley Beginner Wind Band and Bakewell Beginner Wind Band on Friday 8 June at Lady Manners School from 5.30-6.15pm (ie usual Bakewell Beginner WInd rehearsal time). This will give players an opportunity to practice playing as a larger ensemble in advance of the Gala concert.
Just a reminder that the Friday Strings rehearsals this week will still be at Buxton Community School but in the Gothic Hall, room B1 and the 6th form refectory area instead of the usual rooms. There will be a school performance at the school so parking may be more difficult than usual.
Bakewell Beginner Wind Band, Hope Valley Beginner Wind Band, Training Wind Band and Intermediate Wind Band have an informal concert at Lady Manners School on Friday 20 April at 7.15pm. Please see e-mails for arrivale times for each band. Please note- Peak District Wind Band will NOT be taking part as they had a (rather fantastic) concert last week.
The postponed 'Windows of the World' concert will now be on Friday 13 April. A copy of the letter to parents about revised arrangements can be found on the 'Parents' section of this website. http://pdmc.org.uk/letters.
