We thank the retiring Trustees for their many years of service and welcome the new Trustees.
Buxton Beginner Wind Band will be holding an open rehearsal on Thursday 22 November at 4pm in St Thomas More school. Any beginner players (and their families) who are interested in seeing what band is like are very welcome to come along. There will be some snacks and a lot of fun! (There is no charge for this event) For more information please contact admin
Due to a school performance, there are some changes to wind band rehearsal locations at Lady Manners School on Friday 16 Nov and Friday 23 Nov. Beginner WInd and Intermediate WInd will be in the 6th Form Block and Training WInd Band will be in the Vocational Centre. Peak District WInd Band will be in the usual rehearsal room.
Could all Buxton Strings players please use the back doors to St Thomas More School this Friday (16 November). These are the glass/white doors near the music room stairs and can be found by following the driveway to the right of the building (our parent helpers will have their registration desk by these doors). This is due to a brass band concert in the main hall.
This year's PDMC AGM will be held on Wedneday 14 November at 7pm in the Dome, Buxton. A copy of the Agenda for this meeting can be found on this website in the letters section (under the Parents tab, following the link to letters at the top of the page). We have been made aware that, due to updates from our service provider, there has been over a week's delay in some parents receiving our e-mail about arrangements for the start of term. This will have made the message rather confusing for those parents. Rehearsals all start in the week commencing 10 September and will be in the usual place/time unless otherwise advised. If you have any quest

Just a reminder that the Friday Strings rehearsals this week will still be at Buxton Community School but in the Gothic Hall, room B1 and the 6th form refectory area instead of the usual rooms. There will be a school performance at the school so parking may be more difficult than usual.
Bakewell Beginner Wind Band, Hope Valley Beginner Wind Band, Training Wind Band and Intermediate Wind Band have an informal concert at Lady Manners School on Friday 20 April at 7.15pm. Please see e-mails for arrivale times for each band. Please note- Peak District Wind Band will NOT be taking part as they had a (rather fantastic) concert last week.
